Yesterday after work the girls found their t-ball set outside in our breezeway. Amelia decided that she wanted to play with it inside and started dragging it through the door. For a split moment I was going to prevent this event due to the fact that I am not excited about almost three year old twins swinging and throwing in our living room. But since both Natalie and Amelia were so into the toy and getting along so well I let it happen.
I am happy to report that the girls played nicely together and nothing was broken in our house. Taking turns, cheering each other on, having tons of fun. I thought to myself that their sports enthused Dad would be so proud and couldn't wait to tell him when he got home. You see Mike likes almost anything sports related. ESPN, FSN, the golf channel, etc. should be on speed dial (if such a thing existed) on our remote. I think we have cable and a big t.v. mainly for these sporting channels. Not to mention the sports related bookmarks on our computer and the fun sporting video games for the Wii.
So in a nutshell, Mike would be so proud seeing his girls playing t-ball in the living room. As I was trying to get a photo to post here (impossible due to their constant movement) Natalie proudly exclaims to me with bat in hand...
"Mama, mama look at us! We are playing hockey!"
My thought as I tried not to laugh: "ummmmmm, not quite honey....and even though you got the wrong sport...I know your Dad would be proud."

Who Knew?
At bedtime tonight...
Amelia: "Mama, give me that book please. I read it myself"
I willingly hand it over and watch her look at it...a minute later....
Amelia: "Sorry Mama, I can't read it. I don't have big enough hands."
Who knew that it takes big hands to know how to read. : )

Snuggle Time
One of the new favorite places to play for the girls is in Natalie's bed. They like to spend their time talking, pretend sleeping, and even singing to each other. I love it...especially when they play quietly together for hours (ok...more like half hour) on end.
