Frere Jacques- Amelia style

Original French Version:

Frere Jacques, Frere Jacques
Dormez-vous? Dormez-vous?
Sonnez les matines, sonnez les matines
Ding dang dong, ding dang dong.

English Version:

Are you sleeping, are you sleeping?
Brother John, Brother John?
Morning bells are ringing, morning bells are ringing
Ding dang dong, ding dang dong.

Amelia Version:

Frere Jacques, Frere Jacques
Doorman flu, Doorman flu
Salmonella Tina, Salmonella Tina
Doorman flu, Doorman flu

**Hilariously morbid...would hate to be a doorman and anyone named Tina..that is for sure!

On hold...

So the c-section has been rescheduled much to our disappointment. The amnio came back with a result of immature lungs. Of course we want what is best for our son...so the plan is now to repeat an amnio... whoo-hoo! (That is sarcasm people) next Monday and have the c-section next Weds Mar. 4th.

We are a bit bumming around here but we know our spirits will improve in the days to come. Please for the sake of our son and our sanity pray for a passing test next Monday.

Funny girlie entries to come soon....to put a smile on all our faces!

Later gators.

Speechless Last Day

Today is my last day of teaching until mid-may. You would think I would be excited about this but in fact I believe I am more nervous about the major change that is about to happen.

Case in point: when Mike said to the girls this morning as we were putting coats and boots on, "Girls this is our last weekend as a family of four!"

I was utterly speechless.

One week....

and counting!

Mike and I are busy tying up loose ends.

We are both nervous and excited.

The girls are just excited...but then again...aren't they always?

Pretty in Pink

The theme this year for the 3rd birthday party....PINK! The one color in the house the girls will always fight over. So we did our best to honor their day with their favorite color without making everything look like it was coated in pepto bismol.

Here are some photos from their birthday on the 6th and their party on the 7th.

opening the tea set from "baby brother"

the first of many tea parties

camping princesses using their new sleeping bags

Natalie opening her new ballet slippers

A favorite gift- books!

Natalie on her new trike

Amelia practice peddling

...and the best moment of the party....singing and cake!

No, they are not 33 (though their parents almost are)
we just had to have a candle for each of them.

Thanks to everyone for all your support these past three years. Natalie and Amelia started life on a rocky road and we could not have navigated the bumps without our family and friends. We are truly blessed with our girls and such wonderful people in our lives.

We wanted a more updated photo for the last picture but Amelia was a bit crabby during our attempted photo shoot. Look for birthday party pictures in the near future!
