Got to Love That Girl!

Last night after bath time the kids were hanging out
on our bed lounging in their pajamas.
Mike was with them as they began to watch a t.v. show before bed.
I was busy in the bathroom picking up the usual bath time mess
when I hear Amelia say...

"Daddy, how come Mommy does all the work in our house?"

In my stunned silence I listened for Mike's reply.

(chuckling while formulating his answer)
"Well Amelia, Mommy and Daddy had a contest and
we decided that the person who did the work the best got to do it all the time.
Guess what....Mommy won!"

Hmmm, can't say I remember participating in this contest.
Much less agreeing to the terms.
Though I will say... it brought a smile to my face
to hear Mike's funny response and to
know at least someone notices!

Got to love her, that Miss Amelia!

If the contest from above had actually happened
the second place prize would have been doing
all the cooking, meal planning and grocery shopping.
I am happy to award that honor to Mike.
That's where I really won...I know many women who are jealous!
