To Our Special Girls
It is hard to express the joy your bring to our lives. These past four years have been a roller coaster ride. A ride that has been exciting and fun in so many ways. To think that in 2006 we prepared for one child and ended up with two. Your birth as surprising and traumatic as it was is something that we would never change. You are our little miracles and we can not imagine life with out both of you. As a team you have the ability to frustrate us beyond belief and make us laugh until our stomachs hurt. While as individuals your uniqueness adds a branch to our family dynamic that we embrace wholeheartedly.

Natalie
You have the funniest things to say and such a caring and empathetic nature. You love your brother and animals with all your heart. You love to be helpful at home and elsewhere. In the NICU the nurses nicknamed you the "sweet" one and their prediction proved true. You have a giving nature that is infectious to all around you.
You amaze us with your vocabulary. You are a thinker who likes to lead...especially your sister. You love the animals wild and domestic and like to learn about them everyday. Your passion for life both exhausts and rejuvenates us daily. Sassy pants...as the nurses called you fits so well. You love your independence but only on your terms. In a year it is amazing to see how far you have come.
Happy 4th Birthday Natalie and Amelia!
We love you, Mom, Dad and Sam
